RESEARCH TOPICS

I focus my research work on the elaboration of particle suspensions or dry powders and on the understanding of the links between the parameters of the generation/treatment processes and the functional properties of the materials. My studies always include an important part on the development of characterization techniques for the physical (size, morphology, structuration, viscosity, etc.) and chemical (composition, crystallinity, etc.) properties of the particles and media studied.

My projects mainly concern:

  • Synthesis, treatment and shaping of nanoparticles for biomedical applications (drug delivery, bone prostheses)
  • Understanding and optimization of particulate processes: spray-drying, wet grinding, precipitation
  • Agglomeration behaviour of the (nano)particles in suspension during particulate processes
  • Characterization of the effect of the physico-chemical and hydrodynamical conditions on the behaviour of (nano)particles in suspensions
