RESEARCH TOPICS
Since 1987, I have been involved in the development of the technology of supercritical carbon dioxide. The research team at LGC is focused on the operation of supercritical CO2 as a solvent for operation of chemical or biochemical reactions. It is also used as a solvent for separation-purification operations. Especially, we develop the continuous processing of liquid mixtures in counter-current columns.
More recently, I have been involved in the development of the Centrifugal Partition Chromatographic apparatus as an efficient liquid-liquid contactor for use as a continuous two phase reactor for enzyme reactions.
