Chemical engineering and ultrasound (sonochemistry)

U

RESEARCH TOPICS

  • Activation of chemical reactions and intensification of physical processes by power ultrasound (catalyst regeneration, surface cleaning, biomass valorization, extraction of biomolecules…)
  • Sonochemical engineering for the design of reactors / pilot under ultrasound at large scale
  • Multiphase catalytic reactions (kinetic studies and reaction mechanisms) such as oxidation for water treatment (heterogeneous Fenton reaction and wet catalytic oxidation) as well as selective hydrogenations and hydroformylation in petrochemicals field
  • Processes to produce nanoparticles and supported catalysts (wet and dry impregnation, polymerization)
