Topic : Experimental characterisation of supercritical fluid flow in microchannels
- 1 year (start in septembre 2010)
- Net salary : 2000€ per month
A post doc position with full-time participation in the ANR-funded project Supercritical Microfluidics (µFSC – Microfluidique Supercritique, www.anr-microfsc.cnrs.fr) will be available at the Laboratoire de Génie Chimique Toulouse for a duration of 1 year, starting September 1st 2010.
The study will focus on the experimental characterisation of supercritical CO2 flow in microchannels using micro Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV).
The candidate will initially participate in the set up of the experimental rig and carry out the necessary feasibility tests of the microPIV technique and its application to supercritical microfluidic system. A detailed study of the hydrodynamics of the supercritical CO2 flow in microchannels will then be conducted.
We are looking for a post-doctoral researcher with an experimental background in supercritical fluids or in microfluidics. Experience with imaging techniques or micro PIV would be an advantage.
